Washington has reached out to former 49ers general manager Scot McCloughan about a 'top executive' position, according to a report.
McCloughan served as the vice president of player personnel for the 49ers from 2005-07 before ascending to the GM position in 2008. During his tenure in San Francisco, he oversaw draft classes that included stars Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, Patrick Willis and Michael Crabtree. McCloughan left the 49ers after the 2009 season to tend to personal matters.
