49ers general manager Trent Baalke said Wednesday that Colin Kaepernick "absolutely" will be back with the team in 2016. His head coach, Chip Kelly, echoed that exact sentiment Thursday.
Baalke, however, added that he will "kick tires" on another available quarterbacks, looking to add competition.
The 49ers starting doing that this week at the NFL Combine by meeting with Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott, according to NFL.com.
