One day after his release from the 49ers became official, wide receiver Stevie Johnson reportedly visited the San Diego Chargers.
Johnson left San Diego without a contract on Friday but plans to make a decision where to sign no later than Monday, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

The 49ers acquired Johnson last offseason for a fourth-round draft pick. After recording 1,000-yard seasons in three of the past four years, Johnson, 28, had just 35 catches for 435 yards and three touchdowns as the 49ers’ No. 3 receiver.
The 49ers released Johnson after the sides failed to reach an agreement on a new contract that would have lowered his salary for the upcoming season from his scheduled pay of $6.025 million. Both sides have kept the door open for Johnson to return to the 49ers at a lower salary.
