UPDATE (4:21pm PT): The Bengals confirmed the release of Taylor Mays.
The Bengals on Saturday reportedly made a transaction, releasing safety Taylor Mays, according to ESPN's Field Yates.
Mays, 28, was on his second stint with Cincinnati. He played for the orange and black for four years from 2011-2014, making just four starts in 50 games.
He also had a brief stay with the Oakland Raiders in 2015.
The USC product originally entered the league as a second-round draft pick by the 49ers in 2010.
Mays in April signed a one-year, $840,000 contract with $25,000 fully guaranteed, reports Adam Caplan.
