Linebacker Ahmad Brooks was fined $8,681 for unnecessary roughness in the 49ers’ 24-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, the NFL announced.
Brooks was not penalized on the play. The NFL said Brooks struck Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell in the head after a run play in the fourth quarter.
Brooks was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct for knocking the ball out of the hands of a Browns player after a fourth-quarter touchdown. He was not fined for that act.
Brooks was the only 49ers player fined due to his actions in Sunday’s game.
