No charges will be filed Monday against 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith for allegedly making a false report of a bomb threat at Los Angeles International Airport, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office.
“Since he bailed out, it may be a while before any charges are presented to our office for filing consideration,” a spokesman for the DA’s office told CSNBayArea.com on Monday.
Smith was taken into custody after an alleged exchange with a TSA agent, said Airport Police.
While going through Terminal 1, Smith was randomly selected for secondary screening, police said. The suspect then allegedly became "belligerent and uncooperative" with the TSA agent.
According to LAX Police Sgt. Karla Ortiz, Smith was going through screening when he asked the TSA agent, “Are you going to search me further?”

Smith was told, “That’s not necessary,” according to Sgt. Ortiz.
Then, Smith responded, according to Sgt. Ortiz, “Why not? I have a bomb.”
Smith was arrested for a felony punishable to up to a year in prison. He was released Sunday at 7:02 p.m. on $20,000 bail.
