Jim Harbaugh is not one to shy away from other celebrities and sporting icons, hanging out with Jerry Springer at Disneyland, conversing with Drake and even working with Jay Cutler at a quarterback camp just recently.
The Michigan coach may have outdone himself, though, as Harbaugh said Friday on the Rich Eisen Show that he has none other than NBA legend Michael Jordan set to be the honorary captain for the Wolverines 2016 opener.

Michigan opens the season Saturday, September 3, 2016 against Hawaii.
"Hawaii, we have Michael Jordan," Harbaugh said Friday. "Our opener is Michael Jordan. He's going to be our honorary captain.
"We're wearing Jordan. We're the first football team to be wearing Jordan."
This season Michigan will debut its new Nike Jumpman uniforms after the university signed a long-term deal with the brand in April worth north of $173 million.
Jordan in August of 2015 welcomed Michigan to the team on Twitter.
Big House. Big plans.
