SANTA CLARA -– Running back Carlos Hyde sustained a concussion in the first half against the Green Bay Packers at Levi's Stadium, the 49ers announced after Friday’s game.
Hyde came out for the second half without his shoulder pads. He was not going to play, but later in the second half he was seen leaving the field with team doctors to be evaluated.
Hyde gained 30 yards rushing on four attempts, including a 27-yard run that set up the 49ers’ only touchdown of the game.

He now enters the concussion protocol, which he must clear to be allowed to return to practice. The 49ers open the regular season on Sept. 12 against the Los Angeles Rams.
The 49ers' No. 2 running back, Shaun Draughn, sat out his second straight exhibition game after sustaining a ribs injury last week in a practice session with the Denver Broncos.
The 49ers' other two most concerning injuries were wide receiver Bruce Ellington (hamstring) and defensive tackle Quinton Dial (knee). Coach Chip Kelly said after the game he did not have an update on their conditions.
