SANTA CLARA – Running back Marcus Lattimore’s rookie season of practices came to an end last week.
Lattimore, who has spent the entire season on the non-football injury list, took part in practices over the past three weeks. On Tuesday, he will remain on the reserve list until next season.
Lattimore told CSNBayArea.com he felt good about how things went during his three weeks of practices. He said he will head into the offseason program with a lot of confidence in his ability to return to form from a serious knee injury that ended his final season at South Carolina.
On Monday, coach Jim Harbaugh offered his assessment of the 49ers' fourth-round draft pick.
“I thought that he grew in confidence and just being able to turn his feet over and put his foot in the ground, run behind his pads,” Harbaugh said. “Felt like each week got better and better.
“I think he’ll be excited about having that time and knowing the offseason every day he can get better and stronger and more confident with it. So I thought it was very positive.”
