Running back Frank Gore, the 49ers’ all-time leading rusher, ranked one spot ahead of linebacker NaVorro Bowman on the NFL Network’s The Top 100 Players of 2014.
Gore and Bowman became the fifth and sixth players to appear on the list. Gore ranked No. 46, while Bowman was No. 47.
Last year, Bowman was 37th and Gore was 32nd.

Here is how the vote of current NFL players have ranked 49ers who have been unveiled thus far:
81. QB Colin Kaepernick
75. LT Joe Staley
69. DL Justin Smith
51. TE Vernon Davis
47. LB NaVorro Bowman
46. RB Frank Gore
There are three 49ers who made the list a year ago that have not been named, yet. Wide receiver Anquan Boldin, voted as the Bill Walsh Award for the team MVP, was No. 93. Linebackers Patrick Willis and Aldon Smith ranked 10th and seventh, respectively.
