Former 49ers special teamer C.J. Spillman was arrested on a sexual assault charge stemming from an incident back in 2014.
The 29-year-old free-agent was indicted on Monday, reports the Dallas Morning News. He was arrested and booked on Wednesday.
Spillman, despite being under investigation, played all 16 games for the Dallas Cowboys last season.
The alleged assault happened on Sept. 20 of last year in Dallas, TX. Spillman played in an NFL game just hours later.
Police concluded their investigation in February.
Spillman was also accused of attempted rape in 2013 when he was with the San Francisco 49ers, according to the New York Daily News.
