Eagles center Jason Kelce will undergo sports hernia surgery, head coach Chip Kelly said during Monday afternoon's press conference.
Kelly didn't have a timetable for Kelce's return and isn't sure if a roster move will be made.
"There hasn't been any discussions in terms of what we're doing there," Kelly said.
Kelce left Sunday's win over Washington in the third quarter with what was called an abdomen injury and was sidelined for the rest of the game.
Kelce, who signed a seven-year extension in the offseason, hobbled off the Linc field and was replaced by backup center David Molk.
He got tangled up in a pile on a LeSean McCoy run to the left side that lost five yards when McCoy fumbled out of bounds.
Kelce remained on the field for a few minutes before being helped to the sideline by trainers.
