Tight end Vernon Davis, who strained his left hamstring in the fourth quarter of the 49ers' game Sunday night against the Seattle Seahawks, revealed late Tuesday he is "feeling great."

"No need to worry y'all," Davis wrote on Twitter. "My leg is feeling great just need a little rest til kickoff according to the docs."

It is unlikely Davis will practice Wednesday, as the 49ers begin on-field preparations to face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at Candlestick Park. His status for the game remains uncertain.

Davis sustained the hamstring strain as he was running a deep route in the fourth quarter -- a play on which Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman intercepted a pass from Colin Kaepernick in the 49ers' 29-3 loss.

Davis is the 49ers' second-leading receiver through two games with nine receptions for 118 yards and a team-leading two touchdowns.
