Jay Cutler doesn’t carry the title of general manager but he appeared on Thursday to be previewing some possible personnel moves upcoming for the Bears.
Normally practice-squad players do not take a lot of meaningful snaps with the No. 1 offense each week. But wide receivers Alshon Jeffery, Brandon Marshall and Josh Morgan – the top three on the Bears’ depth chart – were unable to practice with lower-body injuries, meaning Santonio Holmes was the only wide receiver on the current roster to be practicing.

“They’re all going to get opportunities,” Cutler said. “Santonio, Josh Bellamy, Josh Morgan, we brought Chris Williams back today, they’re all going to get chances.”
That very likely could be moving at least Bellamy, among the Bears’ final cuts and re-signed to the practice squad, up to the regular roster just to have even enough to run three-wide receiver sets.
