Former 49ers defensive lineman Aubrayo Franklin is expected to join the organization in an entry-level coaching position, a source said Tuesday.
Franklin played for new 49ers coach Jim Tomsula from 2007 to 2010 while Tomsula was the team's defensive line coach. Franklin was tagged as the team’s franchise player in 2010. The Sacramento Bee first reported the 49ers would add Franklin to the coaching staff.
