The 49ers will be draped in red when they take the field against the Baltimore Ravens in New Orleans for Super Bowl XLVII.
The team published an image to Instagram of the Super Bowl patch being applied to the team's red jerseys, which CSNBayArea.com confirmed they will wear on Feb. 3.
In their five previous Super Bowl trips, the 49ers have worn red three times -- in the 1984, 1988 and 1994 seasons.
The 49ers will be the home team in Louisiana, as the Super Bowl home team alternates every season between the NFC and AFC representatives.
