The NFL on Friday awarded the 49ers their expected allotment of four compensatory picks for the 2016 draft.
The 49ers picks are:
Fourth round: No. 133 overall
Fifth round: No. 174 overall
Sixth round: No. 211 overall
Sixth round: No. 213 overall
The 49ers have 12 scheduled draft picks this year. The 49ers do not have a seventh-round draft pick.
Under the NFL rules for compensatory draft picks, a team losing more or better qualifying free agents than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory selections.
Last offseason, the 49ers lost free agents receiver Michael Crabtree, running back Frank Gore, guard Mike Iupati, linebacker Dan Skuta, and cornerbacks Perrish Cox and Chris Culliver, while adding receiver Torrey Smith and offensive lineman Erik Pears.
The Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots also received the maximum number of four compensatory selections.
