SANTA CLARA -- Nose tackle Glenn Dorsey, who was activated to the 49ers’ 53-man roster this week, will not make his season debut on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium due to his surgically repaired left arm.
Dorsey and right tackle Anthony Davis (concussion) were officially ruled as out for the game against Washington, the team announced on Friday. Dorsey received a second medical opinion on Thursday.

“We’re all on the same page,” Dorsey said. “Just got to work through it. No setbacks or anything.”
Dorsey said it’s a combination of his biceps and forearm that has not returned to full strength. He sustained a torn biceps tendon early in training camp that required surgery. He opened the season on injured reserve/designated for return.
“It’s that area in general,” Dorsey said. “I don’t think it’s long-term – just got to take it day-by-day and keep rehabbing and getting better and better. And when it’s time to go, it’s time to go.”
The 49ers this week placed nose tackle Ian Williams (broken fibula) on season-ending injured reserve to create the roster space to get Dorsey back on the 53-man roster.
Quinton Dial is scheduled to make his second start at nose tackle with Williams and Dorsey unavailable.
