SANTA CLARA – Right tackle Anthony Davis and wide receiver Stevie Johnson were officially ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks, the 49ers announced on Friday.
Jonathan Martin will start his fourth consecutive game in place of Davis, who sustained a concussion on the final play of the 49ers’ victory Nov. 16 against the New York Giants. It will be Martin’s ninth start of the season.
Johnson, the 49ers’ third-leading receiver, is out with a knee injury. Johnson has 35 receptions for 435 yards and three touchdowns this season. Quinton Patton, Brandon Lloyd and Bruce Ellington are expected to see action behind starting receivers Anquan Boldin and Michael Crabtree.

The 49ers are hopeful rookie center Marcus Martin (knee) will be available for his seventh straight start since taking over for Daniel Kilgore at the start of November. Martin is listed as questionable.
Linebacker NaVorro Bowman, activated to the 53-man roster, was ruled out. The 49ers do not expect Bowman to play this season, but they would like to keep alive the possibility he can practice with the team before the end of the season.
