SANTA CLARA –- Right tackle Anthony Davis and cornerback Tramaine Brock did not practice on Friday, making it increasingly unlikely either player will return to the 49ers’ lineup this week.
Meanwhile, tight end Vernon Davis remains on pace to play Monday night against the St. Louis Rams. He took part in his second limited practice in two days after missing last week's game with back spasms.
Cornerback Perrish Cox and right tackle Jonathan Martin are expected to make their fifth starts of the season in place of Brock (toe) and Anthony Davis (knee).
