Former Australian rugby league player Jarryd Hayne was happy just to get a spot on the 49ers' 53-man roster after learning the sport of football just months ago.
Now, before suiting up in his first regular-season NFL game, the running back and return man has a major endorsement deal, too.
Under Armour revealed on Sunday their pact with Hayne, tweeting out news of the deal with the caption, "Welcome to the family."
Hayne made San Francisco's 53-man roster on Sept. 5 after an impressive preseason where he led all players in yards per carry (7.0) and finished second in punt return yardage (18.1 average).
Under Armour has inked several big-name NFL players including Tom Brady, Cam Newton and Hayne's own 49ers teammate Vernon Davis.
Patrick Willis was also under contract with the activewear brand before he retired.
The Baltimore-based company is also represented by Golden State Warriors guard and reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry, as well as the San Antonio Spurs' Patty Mills -- a Saint Mary's product and fellow Australian.
