6 foot 3 1/8 inches
Selection: Third round, No. 79 overall
Chosen ahead of . . . WR Sammie Coates, LB Paul Dawson.
College career: Second-team All-ACC in 2014. Led team with 14.5 tackles for loss. He started all 12 games at defensive end in 2013. Led team with 15.0 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks.
Scouting report: Explosive, leggy outside linebacker who has surprising strength at the point of attack, and the hands and length to become an outstanding edge-setter. Harold's burst upfield to threaten the edge is pro caliber and his ability to bend the corner at a 45-degree angle creates potential for him to become a quality pass rusher from either outside linebacker spot in a 3-4. –NFL.com
How he fits: Harold joins an group of outside linebackers that includes Aldon Smith, Ahmad Brooks, Aaron Lynch and Corey Lemonier. It’s difficult to see Harold stepping into the lineup early in his career, but he should be a core special-teams player. With Smith in the final year of his contract and Brooks’ future on shaky ground, Harold could have an opportunity to start as early as 2016.
Next scheduled pick: Fourth round, No. 117 overall (Saturday).
