Right tackle Anthony Davis was fined $15,750 for an illegal clip during Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, the NFL announced on Friday.
Right guard Alex Boone, as previously reported, was fined $7.875 for “unnecessarily striking an opponent.”
Boone was penalized for retaliating against Cardinals nose tackle Alameda Ta’amu, who was fined $10,000 for “kicking an opponent,” the league said. Ta’amu was not penalized on the play.
The Boone-Ta’amu scuffle broke out at the line of scrimmage after Kendall Hunter’s 6-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. At the end of that play, Arizona safety Tyrann Mathieu threw Hunter to the ground. He was penalized and fined $10,000.
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin rushed to Hunter’s side to confront Mathieu. He was called for a personal foul, but he was not fined.
Also, Cardinals defensive lineman Darnell Dockett was fined $7,875 for a late hit on 49ers running back Frank Gore.
